Rachel Van Horn
Rachel Van Horn, MSSW, LSW
As a therapist, my goal is to help others create the tools to help themselves. I am passionate about creating a safe and welcoming environment where clients can feel heard and seen.
I received my masters degree in social work at The University of Tennessee-Knoxville. As well as a trauma certificate.
I have worked with clients in a community mental health setting as well as private practice. My main focus is on children, adolescents, and young adults. Within sessions I utilize dialectical behavior therapy (DBT), cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), a strength-based and somatic approach. I incorporate journaling, art, humor, mindfulness, and play therapy to engage clients.
My special interests include anxiety, depression, neurodiverse individuals, OCD, eating disorders, coping skills, emotional regulation, as well as overall health and wellness.
