Yesamine De León-Mettee, MA, LPC, ATR-P
Through the mountains and valleys of life we look to our supports and I’m so glad you came here today to take that first step towards healing in your journey. As an art therapist, I strive to create a safe, non-judgmental, and inclusive space for us to work together. If you haven’t worked with an art therapist before, art therapy is a tool to better understand ourselves, our emotions, and experiences when we don’t have the words to describe those experiences. Whenever you are ready, I’m here to walk with you on your path.
I am dual-licensed as a professional counselor and art therapist. I have worked extensively with all ages from 4 years old to 94 years old. I have also worked for many years within the LGBTQ+ and Latine communities. Much of my work has focused on life transitions, grief, anxiety, depression, chronic pain, autism, ADHD, body image, separation anxiety, relationship concerns, trauma, and identity exploration. My style of practice is based in a strength-based, holistic, multicultural, feminist, trauma-informed, and person-centered approach.
