Zina Petrov, MS, LPCC-S, MFT
As a therapist, I help my clients envision a fresh perspective and develop coping strategies to create positive changes in their lives. I am dual licensed as both a Professional Counselor and as a Marriage and Family Therapist. I integrate individual approaches to therapy with systemic views to help my clients overcome personal challenges and create harmonious relationships with those around them. I enjoy working with individuals, couples, and families. I have experience successfully treating depression, anxiety, borderline personality disorder, and trauma. The treatment modalities that inform my clinical work include Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Dialectical Behavioral Therapy and Mindfulness-Based therapy. In my work with couples and families I draw from Structural Family Therapy and Emotion Focused Therapy. My approach to building a therapeutic relationship is collaborative, warm, and strength-based. I take into account multicultural perspectives that view individuals as embedded in their environment.
